So… what a weekend! First I did fourteen radio interviews across the country to promote “Poor Little Bitch Girl,” and that was fun – especially as it was at Staples Center where everyone was rehearsing for the Grammy’s.
But the highlight of my weekend was music mogul, Clive Davis’s night before the Grammy’s party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. And what a night it was – jam packed with stars – including everyone from Barbara Streisand (looking demure, her husband James Brolin looking hot!), to Jane Fonda with her new love, record producer Richard Perry (both looking very happy!), to Jay Z (who was smaller than I’d imagined). Then there was Taylor Swift (very tall and slender, and quite shy), Katy Perry and Russell Brand (they looked great together), Usher (hot – very), Bon Jovi, the Kings of Leon, and of course the very fabulous Rihanna. Too many other stars to mention, as I want to tell you about the performances. The show opened with the Black Eyed Peas – on fire! Then Fergie sang “Sweet Child of Mine” accompanied by Slash on his magical guitar. Mind blowing!! Another standout – Carlos Santana with Rob Thomas. And an emotional Mary J. Blige. My personal fave Maxwell – sleek and sexy – the new Marvin Gaye. But there was also the fabulous Jennifer Hudson, KeSha, Carrie Underwood and Harry Connick, Jr.
Yeah! What a fantastic night!
The next day I recovered by going to see “When in Rome.” A cute and fun movie. Josh Duhmael is so appealing, and Kristen Bell is delightful.
Now I am starting to prepare for the “Poor Little Bitch Girl” Tour. So many upcoming TV shows (check out the events page on my site), starting off with the Today Show on February 9th – publication day! Don’t forget if you buy “Poor Little Bitch Girl” in the first two weeks and post a review on my site, the best review will get a signed and personalized copy, and two new signed trade paperbacks of “Lovers & Players” and “Drop Dead Beautiful.” Go for it!!
More soon, Stay Lucky!
