New project: Paris Connections

Saturday, 23 January, 2010 / Published in News

I wanted to let you all know about my exciting new project! Paris Connections will be a direct-to-DVD premiere movie featuring one of my fave heroines, Madison Castelli. I can’t wait for you all to see it!

And… here is the official press release.

Celebrated bestselling novelist Jackie Collins to create and produce original content for home viewing.
Amber Entertainment to co-produce.

Mega selling author Jackie Collins, whose 27 New York Times bestsellers have collectively sold over 400 million copies worldwide, and whose latest novel “Poor Little Bitch Girl,” published by St. Martin’s Press on February 9th, is partnering with Amber Entertainment to co-produce a series of premier DVD’s. The DVD’s will feature one of her most popular characters, Madison Castelli (“Lethal Seduction,” “Deadly Embrace”). The first movie, Paris Connections, is a romantic thriller, that will be shot in Paris. Principle photography starts February 1st.

Paris Connections will be produced by Ileen Maisel, Mark Ordesky, Lawrence Elman and Jackie Collins, and will be directed by Harley Cokeliss.

Collins notes, “I love the concept of creating quality entertainment and bringing it directly to my fans without addressing any network concerns or limitations. Madison is one of my most popular characters and I get fan requests from readers who want to hear more about her. This will give me an opportunity to bring more of her stories right to my fans. It’s an innovative idea to give the consumer something really exclusive.”

In addition, there are three more planned movies in the “Connections” series.

In the past Jackie has written and produced ten hours of prime time for NBC productions – “Lucky Chances” starring Nicollette Sheridan, Vincent Irizarry and Sandra Bullock – and “Lady Boss” starring Kim Delany. She also produced for CBS “Hollywood Wives – The New Generation” starring Farrah Fawcett, Robin Givens and Melissa Gilbert.

  1. Hello…I love your books! Once I’m done reading one of your books I can’t wait for another one to come out. Your the only author I read. Which makes it hard for me to encourage my son to read on a daily basis. 🙂

Anyway, I was wondering, if you could please send me a list of your books to read in order (by story)? Such as the Santangelo series and Castelli, etc. I would greatly appreciate. I am going to be re-reading ALL your books as I start a book-club (so to speak) with my 8 yo son and his friends. I am trying to get them to get them to read more then their required 20 minutes per day. We will also be taking trips to the local library. If you have any ideas on any 3rd grade reading material, I am open to any suggestions you may have.

I have also started a book club of my own and it will begin on the 15th of February and we will be starting with Lucky or Chances…(I never can remember which comes first).

You are brilliant and I love reading your books. Thank you for escape from reality even if it’s just for a little while.

    A Forever Reader,

    Debbie Lee

I love Lucky the most & thanks a million for writing about Strong Women that way we can be strong too. I really enjoy reading your novels & always looking forward for the next one. I find other authors really boring when I read they novels. You Rock the house Jackie. Keep up the Excellent work.
