A Day in New York with Jackie Collins (Downtown Project)
For me, a New York day starts at the Plaza Athenee on the Upper East Side where they serve the best breakfast – incredible hash browns with delicious bacon. A fine start to a day of fun in New York! Then, a quick shopping trip takes me to the “three B’s” –Bloomingdale’s, Bergdorf Goodman, and Henri Bendel. Bloomingdale’s has a great chocolate department on the 5th floor, my favorite hideaway! I just love milk chocolate.
Of course, no trip to New York is complete without a visit to my publisher, St. Martin’s Press, which is located in the Flatiron District. This trip, I’ll chat with my editor, Charlie Spicer, about the Lucky Santangelo cookbook, and my new novel The Power Trip.
Definitely love to take a run around to the bookstores – I especially enjoy browsing in Barnes & Noble Union Square to check out all the new titles. It’s always so crowded. I love to see so many people reading!
And dinner at Nobu in Tribeca is ALWAYS on my agenda. Such a fabulous feast!
Lastly… On to Andy Cohen’s clubhouse. Watch What Happens L!ve on BRAVO, where I appeared on the show with a lethal cocktail, Andy, and lots of salacious gossip (later I’ll change the names of the not so innocent and write about them)!
I’d call that a perfect New York day…
