A Special, Bitchy Delivery from Jackie Collins (Papermag.com)

Monday, 01 February, 2010 / Published in Press

We just got our copy of Jackie Collins‘ brand-new novel Poor Little Bitch Girl in the mail and can’t put it down. The book, Collins’ 33rd, follows a group of twenty-somethings who, after attending high school together in Beverly Hills, go their separate ways to pursue careers in law, politics, and high-end prostitution. They’re eventually re-united, however, when one of their movie star mothers is found dead in her mansion. Collins has had 26 best-sellers, will Poor Little Bitch Girl be Collins’ 27th? The first phrase we read upon opening the book to a random page was “his hard-on was pressing against my thigh,” so Q.E.D.

PAPERMAG’s chatting with Jackie next week about Poor Little Bitch Girl, how she continues to craft some of the most irresistibly shallow characters in fiction, and other pressing topics. What else should we ask her? Leave your suggestions in the comments.
